This was a nicely balanced day with Pat Deacon speaking in the morning - Quilts or Sculptures - very interesting look at the way she works and a glimpse of her thinking. I wasnt able to take any pictures but these are from Rocheberie Schoolhouse Quilters meeting http://sites.google.com/site/rocheberiequilters/Home/latest-pictures (they have some fabulous pictures of their own quilts as well)
The other speaker, Deanne Hartwell-Jones is a hand quilter and pieces over papers. She doesn't seem to have a website either, but here is a link to some of the quilts that we saw, with her comments http://www.quiltfest.org.uk/made-in-wales---deanne-hartwell-jones.html
Edited to add - found a website for Deanne - http://www.westwalesquilter.org.uk/index.html
I have to say, if asked to choose, I would not be able to. I love most types of quilt and yesterday I did not see a single one I didn't covet. Region 3 charges £10 for the day to QG members, £15 to non members. There are always 2 speakers, traders, raffle and usually a sales table; sometimes a competition or local group exhibition. A very full day out. There is usually a separate workshop to be held the next day and this is given by one of the speakers. Today's is Deanne's. Wish I could have gone, but we have the grandchildren for the day (and have had for the night - yawn!).
