Breakaways Dec 2011 Part 1

Will just be breaking up all these photos into a few posts I think.  Breakaways have been busy despite a rather chilly room to meet in. We gained a new member before Christmas - Donna - and can always do with a few more people, so if you are wondering if you can do it, especially if you are at work during the day or a mum with children at home, and can get out on a Wednesday evening, do come along and say hello.  We are lucky to have very friendly ladies and although we are not a teaching group, everyone helps everyone else and some of newbies have made fabulous first quilts.

Anyway, on to the photos! (Though knowing Blogger they may decide to post themselves wherever they like rather than where I want to put them)

Chris's qayg sampler blocks

Christine's qayg sampler blocks

Christine's finished quilt - fab, eh?

As you can see, Thomas the Tank Engine.  Panel backed with fleece and hand quilted. Borders made with left overs from the curtains I made for my grandson from duvet covers.  This was part of his christmas present.

Jane made another quilt
