A ditty from Dawn

We have had an interesting time over the past few months with the committee and management of the community centre where we meet, culminating in what I think is the rudest letter from a manager I think I have ever received, in or out of big business.  I am amazed that the Chairperson is prepared to let that sort of letter out under the centre's name.

However, our members are not just some silly little ladies who sit and sew - all are hard working, intelligent and some in very demanding jobs.  One member of the medical profession who is also a published writer dashed off this ditty which raised a wry smile :-

Dear Sir;

Our room is too small
and you don't care at all,
that we're paying too much for the space.
We wrote you a letter,
considerably better,
than the one you replied with in haste.

You may think of us quaintly,
but grammer is saintly
and your letter had several mistakes.
Consider an alliance,
don't demand our compliance,
and proof read for goodness sake.

Regards

The Breakaways.
