...and some more pics

Wendy's circles - the squares are labels with numbers on - very organised

A closer look.  Wendy has been very organised and the quilt is looking fab.  It will be a Linus quilt.

Dawn and Kim admiring Dawn's sumptuous quilt - this pic does not do the colours justice

Libby made a double sided quilt as you go quilt.  Purples on one side and greens on the other - yummmmmm

This is what the backs of Wilma's cushions will look like

Jane's new pic - could be reflections this way up.  The other way up it looks like mountains

Dawn and her quilt

Jane's the correct way up.  I see a boat with oars and sails.  She sees something else, but I have forgotten what she has called it

more photos

my very out of proportion lady in 3 parts Christine and Libby and someone else holding her up.  Such a big head.....never mind, it was a bit of fun....
Lesley's quilt - quite out of character but beautifully made as usual

Chris has been fiddling around with this block, trying to get the colours right

Jane decided to have fun with the quilting of her Roosting Robin

....so tactile

Doesn't it look fantastic!

Books....

Not much sewing done by me, except for a class I will write about another time, but some lazy mornings in bed reading, thanks to all these long weekends :

Dark Summer by Ali Sparkes - Junior School - good adventure

Torn Pages by Sally Grindley - Junior School - Yr 7 - excellent

Where Your Wings Were by David Almond (World book Day choice) Yr 6 up - evocative writing

Boys Don't Cry by Malorie Blackman - Teenage - brilliant

Northern Lights by Philip Pullman - a re-read, better 2nd time around

Richard and Judy - The Autobiography

On the Summerhouse Steps by Anne Fine Yrs 6 upwards - lovely, gentle book and very funny
