Quilts in February 2017 so far.....

These two are for my twin grandchildren - they just needed the bindings sewn on.  They are for bigger beds than they are currently in.

Both quilts were made from Junior Bed size duvet covers and a lovely soft sheet for the white.  They were backed with a double duvet cover which was different on each side, and quilted sideways with a Janome 6500P on a Grace Pro Frame with Hobbs Polydown for the wadding. Cotton fabrics are wonderful for quilts, but sometimes there isn't the money to purchase what you need, or the only way to get what you want is to use something else.  Purists may feel that it does matter, but my view is whatever you can afford, and/or whatever floats your boat....there is room for everyone :)
