Quilts January 2017

Oh well, these photos seem to have decided on a different sequence; however, I try to not meddle with Blogger! This is Polly's, I think and is 4 blocks of Dutchmans Puzzle coloured to create pinwheels - clever

Lynne's centre.  I love how they all turn out differently.

Linda's petals which, as you can see, she is handquilting

Jane's finished top, or flimsy

This quilt, and the one below, were one big quilt which size wise for Project Linus is not great, so Jane unpicked it across the middle and created two.  The wadding was donated by the the Warm Company who are great supporters of Project Linus, Jane provided the backing I think, Janet the binding, and she quilted it - J S Longarm Quilting

two different quilting designs - toys

..and rabbits

Another of Janet's quilts

with the most beautiful quilting design

this one we've shown previously, now complete

with another pretty design

This is the quilting of the quilt at the bottom.  No idea why Blogger put the pic down there, but I am not going to fiddle

Kim's completed round

set off beautifully by this little fillet of a border

Excuse Sarah's elbow - finished quilt for her mum ready to go....(and well received, apparently)

No, Sarah has not gone all peculiar, but we had to put her BOM middle on something that would show up what she was doing.  Sarah has put wadding behind this one now, so that when it is finished there will be a double layer behind the centre which will show it off.  Neat, eh?

This is Janet's sampler quilt which she quilted above.  Janet is a meticulous worker and made an awful lot of these blocks until she got fed up.  There are quite a few kicking around in her sewing studio, I believe.....
