A fabulous new site for those who like contemporary quilts. People have been working hard to get this site up and is looks fantastic. Very easy to navigate, too.
Contemporary Quilt is a section of the Quilters Guild and it is thriving. So if you want to have a look at what's going on and see what is, and has been made, go here http://www.contemporaryquilt.org.uk/ and indulge yourself! And if you like what you see, why not join us?

Breakaways in November
Well we have all been very busy and some have been or still are, away, but I have pictures, anyway.
Many of us had not finished our hearts - Lesley had done hers but that week I had forgotten my camera and now she is away. I have had little time to sew so my hearts are still in the box, but I am getting there... November-December's round is to use bias binding - should be interesting as some of us have not made bias before. I bought some fusible stuff to try.
I think this might be Pauline's roosting robin |
Linda in pink and the heart quilt she is making her daughter |
Sarah has been making placemats and quilting them with sparkly thread. They look great! |
Steph has been making circular mats and also quilting with sparkly thread. They look fabulous |

Christine's roosting robin incorporating hearts |
And Kim's RR with a dimensional heart in a corner |
